Without even looking at stats online you can see that the way forward is setting up an online business and if you want a successful one, you need to stand out. I have looked at a range of different sites that have additional features that are relate-able to my site and the steps i took to further the development and features I have used.

Alongside the extremely unique design and layout the website for PC Specialist, they have a full section dedicated to reviews where you can see what the item is that was purchased as well as the description/specifications of the item and even a quick quote from the full review.

One thing that PC World does that is unique is that they have a buyers guide that takes you step by step through the process of purchasing a brand new system as well as picking all the parts yourself meaning that it is fully personalised. This is something that is quite common within the world of online shopping for computers but nothing takes its time to run you through what every component is for and what it specifically does and that is exactly what PC World have done.

A feature that is a must on any site is a FAQ section, without one it would mean that the company email and support team would be overloaded with the same questions time and time again, a good FAQ section like the one of Overclockers wherein which it covers the basis of everything on the site.




So what can be gained from this?

From the information above it is important to note what these sites have done to be successful as well as maintaining an online presence for as long as they have, sometimes it is the simple parts of a website that hold it together, from the three examples above, System32 have taken on the idea overall and included recent reviews at the bottom of the web pages as well as having a FAQ section that covers the basis of questions we would expect to face from customers in need of support.
