Creating A Presence On Social Media Part 2: Instagram
Following on from Part 1 of my 3 Part series of Social Media Presence, I will be looking at another form of social media, Instagram.
Instagram is an image sharing site that lets you post comment and like pictures posted by other users, they also implemented stories similar to that of Facebook and Snapchat. Instagram is a popular Social Media site that focuses on imagery and for System 32 we feel it would be best for us to create a page to share and connect with users and build our very own social community over the sites.
To get a grasp of what we would be getting into we looked at the competitors from the previous posts Instagram pages.
The ASUS Instagram page is used as an advertising board that focuses on the imagery of videos and pictured products that they are selling. They use a wide range of colours as well as designs to maximise the outreach that they have. (Instagram.com/ASUS, n.d.)
It is important to note that ASUS are a company worth billions so they can afford to market so much
and in so many varieties, the have a wide range of colours that allow for different users to find something that they find interesting instead of one group of flowing images such as what OverClockersUK have done. (Instagram.com/overclockersuk, n.d.)
OverClockersUK have created a marketing campaigning with their Instagram page that follows on from their style on Facebook, they have a presence that focuses on the already established community they created. Most of the adverts created by OverClockersUK are in the same colour scheme as the Facebook pages which keeps the adverts formally organised and part of the brand
For my Instagram page I wanted to implement similar techniques to OverClockers due to it being brand recognition due to being a smaller company, where as if Sysem32 was at the size of ASUS it would be important to produce a wider range of advertisements and expand the brand away from one set colour scheme.

I will be using the same style as OverClockers when it comes to creating our Instagram Social Presence. Here is our Instagram page in its current form as we plan to implement marketing ideas to the page.
