Image
Making sure that your website has everything that it needs to be a success takes time, but to get your website out there, you just need to make a few adjustments as well as look into what will make your website optimised the most to lead to your success. (Pritchard, 2018) States "In 2017, Google accounted for over 79& of all global desktop search traffic." That is a giant amount and it is why it is imperative to get your website out there to be discovered and to grow. To help with improving my websites online presence when searched for I used a Search Engine Optimiser which helps to improve the chances of your website appearing when searches are made that are relevant to what you are doing. (Sio, 2012)    States that "75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results. Here is a screen grab of my SEO working showing what i can improve on and what i have done right. Email marketing and Sales planning part 2: Scheduled Emailing

Image
Now that I have created an account with MailChimp and implemented it into our opt in emailing system. It is now time to create a schedule of emails to be sent to customers and create individual campaigns depending on the time of year and the seasons.  (Gilliand, 2017) States that "Seasonal product marketing generates 10& rise in email open rates" this means that during different periods of the year it is easier to sell certain products or create different style of sales that will draw the attention of the viewer (Taylor, n.d.) Shows us that the impact of seasonal marketing emails can increase your sales and unique visits by up to 10%. For my campaigns I decided that the best course of action was to plan multiple email marketing campaigns scheduled for throughout the year. I decided that I would have one for summer, winter as well as one for Spring. This would mean that I was able to create and upate customers on new deals and sales that System32 would be having. ...

Email marketing and Sales planning Part 1: Opting In

Image
Many Sites take into consideration that customers do not like to browse sites regularly for deals, they would prefer to be notified of a deal on something relevant to them which they may have an interest in compare to looking around online trying to find something interesting. This is done usually via opt-in signups on sites when checking out by creating an account or by registering when a popup appears on the website. This is very beneficial to implement as it would allow for me to create an automated way of communicating with customers and share news and offers with them. This is an important feature that we at System32 will take on and use to set up our very own mailing list. Following on from the previous series of blog posts that I have posted I have decided that I will look online at other sites that have implemented Email listing to customers to bring them deals of interest. (Learning Resources - MailChimp, 2018) shows us the statistics that we can use to see how email list...

Creating A Presence On Social Media Part 3: Youtube

Image
Another form of contacting potential customers is through YouTube. If you are part of the rising of a viral video then you can end up famous overnight, there are many examples recently where a video has picked up traction and the person in the video has became an overnight star. YouTube is a great way to communicate with people as it allows for you to have a more informal and relaxed place to communicate via comments as well as your videos depending on the tone and strategy you are using when making the video. YouTube allows for you to post content that can be used to advertise as well as present what the company is capable of, even going as far as giving an insight to the business world. Following on from the previous two posts, I will be looking at the use of YouTube by ASUS as well as OverClockersUk from the two YouTube channels you can see that they follow a similar style to the rest of their social media pages. This is so that the company has brand recognition. Without Bran...

Creating A Presence On Social Media Part 2: Instagram

Image
Following on from Part 1  of my 3 Part series of Social Media Presence, I will be looking at another form of social media, Instagram. Instagram is an image sharing site that lets you post comment and like pictures posted by other users, they also implemented stories similar to that of Facebook and Snapchat. Instagram is a popular Social Media site that focuses on imagery and for System 32 we feel it would be best for us to create a page to share and connect with users and build our very own social community over the sites. To get a grasp of what we would be getting into we looked at the competitors from the previous posts Instagram pages. The ASUS Instagram page is used as an advertising board that focuses on the imagery of videos and pictured products that they are selling. They use a wide range of colours as well as designs to maximise the outreach that they have. (Instagram.com/ASUS, n.d.) It is important to note that ASUS are a company worth billions so they...

Creating A Presence On Social Media Part 1: Facebook

Image
It is important to maintain a presence on social media even for stores, simply because of how popular social media sites are and if you are involved in the latest trend you will receive a lot more attention which will lead to more views and sales. Here are two companies that have a huge social presence online and are successful in keeping with trends as well as being a leader in the market. ASUS are a front runner in the Gaming market, they produce and sell high quality products that many high end computer systems either use or are in fact systems made by ASUS. The online presence that they have for their Facebook page is a trendy and down to earth style that draws from the latest trends to try draw in new customers. (Facebook.com/asus.uk, n.d.) From this you can see they are using a trending article on influential people and have featured a celebrity who is in the top 100. This is a marketing strategy to try pull in the fans of said celebrity as a lot of fans and followers ten...
